Current Funding Opportunities

We can help you fund your project.

Preservation Connecticut’s grant, loan, and tax credit assistance programs fund essential preservation activities, from planning and maintenance and repair to full-scale rehabilitation of historic resources. Since 2003, we have helped distribute over $9 million in matching grants to local governments, nonprofit organizations, and private property owners.  See our recent grant recipients.  Grants and other investments in preservation have created jobs, spurred real estate development, and put more money into families’ pockets than new construction. Additional Sources of Funding

Preservation CT (PCT): Tax Credit Assistance for Developers

We partner with developers utilizing historic tax credits. A structured transaction so PCT receives the voucher at the end of the construction period, secures funding from Eversource in exchange for the voucher, and lends/grants 100% of the proceeds back to the project allowing the developer to receive the full value of the tax credits. Contact Circuit Rider Brad Schide to understand how we can add value to your project.

CT State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO): Certified Local Government Grants

Two grant programs are available to help municipalities support their historic preservation efforts: the federal Historic Preservation Enhancement Grant (HPEG) and the Supplemental Certified Local Government Grants (SCLG). Your municipality must be first approved as a Certified Local Government (CLG) by the National Park Service.

We offer a variety of funding options throughout the year or can navigate you to other sources. Contact me to learn more.
