Shawn Beckwith – Property Manager, Connecticut Landmarks
Join us on Wednesday February 9th at noon when we will have Shawn Beckwith from Connecticut Landmarks to discuss maintenance for historic buildings. With observations and guidance from Historic Scotland, he will also talk about being mindful and proactive of maintenance in the context of a changing climate.
Shawn Beckwith has a proven record of evaluating and establishing appropriate preservation practice to manage the Rehabilitation, Restoration, and continued preservation of historic house museums, National Register properties, residential, commercial, civic, and liturgical buildings using the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards. He was previously employed as a Preservation Manager for Historic New England, a Preservation Coordinator & Restoration Specialist for Culture and Heritage Museums in South Carolina, and Project Manager with The Durable Restoration Company and Durable Slate Company in FL, GA &OH.. He also brings years of experience as a Construction Project Manager of historic properties with multiple awards received. Shawn holds an A.S. in Agriculture and Natural Resources from SUNY Cobleskill, and a B.S. in Agriculture from Ohio State University.
