The Amity and Woodbridge Historical Society (AWHS) is seeking proposals for consultant services to conduct a structural analysis of the most significant barns at the Thomas Darling House National Register Site located at 1907 Litchfield Turnpike, Woodbridge, Connecticut, and to develop a condition and assessment report that will assist in developing a Preservation and maintenance plan.

The project has received funding from the State of CT Department of Economic and Community Development State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) with state funds from the Community Investment Account of the State of Connecticut. Work must be done in accordance with SHPO Standards and meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and be prepared by a 36 CFR Part 61-qualified structural engineer.

There will be a mandatory pre-bid walkthrough on Jan 21, 2021 at 11am. All State-mandated Covid precautions will be taken. Please contact us if you are interested in attending.

Proposals must be received electronically as a secure PDF by February 4, 2021, at 5:00pm. The AWHS reserves the right to award in part, to reject any and all proposals in whole or in part, or waive technical defects, irregularities, and omissions if, in its judgment, the best interest of the AWHS will be served.
