An element of CEPA. If a proposed action does not have the potential to significantly affect the environment, the agency may complete its CEPA responsibilities by publishing a Post-Scoping Notice in the Environmental Monitor, a website maintained by the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) for the purposes of providing public notification of certain CEPA-related information. The post-scoping notice shall also include a completed Environmental Review Checklist (ERC). This statement is less burdensome than an EIE.
