The City of Bridgeport is seeking proposals from qualified entities for the purpose of redeveloping McLevy Hall, located at 180 State Street, Bridgeport, Connecticut. See the full RFP document here.

McLevy Hall was built in 1854 to serve as both Bridgeport’s City Hall and the Fairfield County Courthouse, and it continued to house city offices after new buildings were built for both. Abraham Lincoln spoke here during his presidential campaign in 1860. The building was designed by Alexander Jackson Davis and remodeled in 1905 by Bridgeport architect Joseph Northrop. A significant landmark in downtown Bridgeport, McLevy Hall is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places, making it eligible for federal and state historic rehabilitation tax credits.
