October 26th: When Preservation isn’t Possible

Join us on Wednesday, October 26th at noon to hear about one group’s successful effort to salvage materials when preservation is just not possible. Mae Bowley will tell us all about salvage and her work with Re:Purpose Savannah, a Georgia based group of women who work to provide conscientious treatments for historic buildings at the end of their cycle. Due to the inherent value of the structure itself and to divert materials from the landfill, salvage is the most appropriate solution when preservation in place just will not work.
