We are thrilled that Keith Marshall Jones III, the founding president of the Ridgefield Historical Society and author of the new book, The Battle of Ridgefield: Benedict Arnold, the Patriot Militia, and the Surprising 1777 Battle that Galvanized Revolutionary Connecticut will share new information and understanding about the story of inland Connecticut’s largest Revolutionary War engagement. Connecticut State Historian Emeritus Dr. Walter Woodward calls this book “the definitive account of the Battle of Ridgefield for many years to come.” Books will be available for purchase and signing. The talk will take place at 12:00pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 in the Ridgefield Historical Society’s Scott House at 4 Sunset Lane in Ridgefield.
