The State Historic Preservation Office and Preservation Connecticut will be holding a series of collaborative training sessions this fall for local Historic District commissioners. Case studies will be used to focus on the specific issues of demolitions and new construction, replacement windows and substitute Building materials. Commissioners are commonly faced with these challenging issues and the goal of these sessions is to share successes, strategies, and ways we can work with applicants to preserve historic resources while making them livable for the future.
