Courtman Enterprises is a Connecticut-based specialist roofing contractor serving churches, institutions, historic estates, and National Register properties across Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, and New York. We work on the buildings most contractors won’t touch — and the projects that demand more than standard roofing skills.
Our core services include natural slate restoration and replacement, custom copper fabrication, flat roof repair and coatings, and historic wood shingle restoration. We source historically accurate materials, work to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards on federally registered properties, and fabricate all copper work on-site to match the original architectural character of each building.
Recent projects include a full Mansard cedar shingle restoration at Cheney Hall — a National Historic Landmark in Manchester, Connecticut — emergency slate replacement at Hillyer House on a National Register campus in Hartford, and a complete slate system restoration at a Yale University faculty residence in New Haven.
