The Mary & Eliza Freeman Center for History and Community is requesting Proposals from interested and qualified construction managers with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience to provide construction management services with a guaranteed maximum price for the construction – Structural Stabilization and Rehabilitation – of the Eliza Freeman House (circa 1848) in Bridgeport, CT; an African American historic Site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Both the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and the National Park Service’s Historic Preservation Fund Grants Manual, Chapter 17 Procurement Standards will apply to this project. Federal funds are involved and contracts awarded under this project shall be subject to Appendix II to Part 200, Title 2 – Contract Provisions for Non-Federal Entity Contracts Under Federal Awards. This scope of construction is supported by an African American Civil Rights Grant awarded by the National Park Service – program funding appropriated by Congress through the Historic Preservation Fund.
