Thursday, April 25th: Jane Jacobs 101
Alan Plattus, Yale University
Join us at this special first session on a THURSDAY at noon to hear from Yale Professor of Architecture, Alan Plattus, about Jane Jacobs (1916-2006), an urbanist and activist who championed a community-based approach to city Building. This talk precedes the exciting Jane’s Walk: Connecticut happening on May 4th, a movement of free, citizen-led walking tours inspired by Jane Jacobs. The walks encourage people to tell stories about their communities, explore their cities, and connect with neighbors.
